Tournament Info for Referees

The Windsor Soccer Club invites all certified referees to participate in our annual Columbus Day Tournament with games on Saturday, Sunday and Monday of the holiday weekend. This year we expect to have over 100 referees scheduled to cover all the games at 15 different fields. The rate of pay is $22 per game (1-hour games) for the middle position and $12 for the line position.

The first thing you need to decide is when are you are available to work. You can work as many days or games as you want but there is a minimum (usually 3, 4 or 5 continuous games by game block times) that you must work on any given day.

How to sign-up to referee:  Sign-up is completely online this year. Please go to https://www.youthleaguesusa.com/windsor/2005/Referee.html , SCROLL DOWN TO THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE, and click on the box at the bottom called "CLICK HERE TO BEGIN", then fill out the registration form. That's all there is to it!!

IMPORTANT:
In September your game schedule will be posted on this website on the Tournament Page. Also on the Tournament Page you can find our Tournament Rules

What to anticipate on Game Day:

When you arrive at your assigned location please sign in with the Field Marshall at the tent. If you are doing the middle you must pick up a game scorecard for each game. This scorecard must be filled out by you and signed at the end of the game – also please verify the final score with the coaches. The Field Marshall will collect the scorecards.

At the end of your shift please see the Field Marshall and they will pay you in cash.
You are also entitled to free food before and after the games.

Visit our Directions Page for directions to the playing fields. Please arrive ½ hour before your first game starts.

All games have two 25-minute halves with a 3-minute half time rest. All games must start on time. Home teams get goal choice and visitors get kick off. Record all yellow or red-carded players. In the case of carded players Field Marshall will ask for and retain the players pass at the conclusion of each game.

On behalf of the Tournament Committee I want to thank you for your participation and helping make this a successful tournament. We look forward to seeing you.

Thanks again,
