Inaugural Windsor Soccer Club Hall of Fame Members Honored

Congratulations to the 2019 Windsor Soccer Club Hall of Fame inaugural class!

Mark Lacafta: Former President/Tournament Director/Coach: Between 1999 and 2016, Mark coached a combination of 15 division championship and tournament championship teams with the Windsor Red Storm, the Windsor Bulldogs and the Windsor Wolverines. Mark is likely the winningest coach in WSC history.

Kathie Pisapia: First Director of the Columbus Day Tournament and longtime board member to the Club.

Paul R. Cody: Coached over 1,200 youths in Windsor in various sports, including soccer for which the CDT was named after him.

Frank Barresi: Former President and longtime Coach that help put the WSC on the map in the community.

Tom Krikawa: Longtime member of the club that held many different board positions. The 2007 CDT was dedicated to him in his memory.

The Founding Board Members - 1982: President Barry Gorfain, Secretary Beth Bleakney, Treasurer Jim Swartzell, Dir. of Boys Div. Eddie Habermeier, Dir. of Girls Div. Rodger Hosig, Director of Scheduling Ann Anderson, and Dir of Finance Ernie Weisberg

Recipients were honored at the end of the season awards ceremony this fall.

Girls U12 and U14 Travel Teams Finish 1st in League Play

Congratulations to the GU12 and GU14 Travel Teams for taking home 1st place in their respective divisions this fall. Both teams went undefeated in league play.

GU12 combined for a record of 11-1-1 this fall, while the GU14 team finished 14-2. Well done Warriors!

Boys U11 Win the South Windsor Target Invitational

The Windsor Boys U11 travel team took home 1st place at the South Windsor Target Invitational Soccer Tournament to wrap up the fall season. Congrats boys!
